Yachting reopened too late
Dominica’s yachting sector did not maximize income opportunities during the onset of the COVID pandemic, as it reopened too late.
That is the belief of President of the Portsmouth Association of Yacht Security and Services (PAYSS) Andrew Obrien.
Government announced the reopening of Dominica’s borders to yachts in January.
Obrien told Kairi News a number of yachters were requesting to dock here during the heat of the Pandemic, while Dominica had closed off its borders to such travel.
Obrien says Yacht service providers in Portsmouth stand ready to receive visitors.
