World Creole Music Festival Nightly Line- Up Revealed
The Dominica Festivals Committee on Monday released the nightly lineup for the highly anticipated World Creole Music Festival.
Events Coordinator Marva Williams revealed seven acts on Night 1 (one), 12 acts on Night 2 (two) and another 7 on Night 3 (three).
On Friday Night (Night One), features Davido, African producer and singer. New Look of Haiti, and Patrice Roberts of Trinidad and Tobago also join the line- up. Dominica’s own Colton T makes his debut at the World Creole Music Festival, as well as Dominican Bouyon artists WCK and Asa Bantan the Bouyon Boss.
One of the headliners for Saturday Night (Night Two) is the famous Reggae artist Buju Banton. Artists from Dominica include Dominica’s Lady of Song Ophelia Marie, Extasy Band, rising star Mel, Princess Lover, Dominican music Legend Gordon Henderson, Linford John and Triple K Global.
Other artists include the power couple from Trinidad, Bunji Garlin and Fay- Ann Lyons, as well as Oswald and Eric Virgil.
Sunday Night (Night 3) features the Caribbean’s reigning Soca Monarch, Mr. Killa, and Mikael Guirand. From Dominica will be Tasha P and Signal Band. Grammy- Award winning artist Etana also joins the line- up, as well as Jamaican Reggae Artist Romain Virgo. St. Lucian Soca Artist Motto completes an amazing line- up of Caribbean artists.
Season tickets are now on sale until September 12th for a special price of $250.
Meanwhile, Marketing Executive at the Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) Samantha Letang says airlines are already increasing flights into Dominica for the festival, with Winair booking an additional three flights as they have seen the need. This means 144 additional seats coming through St. Martin to Dominica.
Letang said the DDA continues to work with Ferry transportation partners and airline partners to coordinate travel around the event.
