Working Group Formed To Set The Stage For Development Projects In Portsmouth
A working group chaired by member of parliament for Portsmouth with Portsmouth councilors has been formed to set the stage for a number of development projects.
Construction of an administrative building to decentralize government services to Portsmouth is among those projects.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and members of Cabinet visited the project site last Friday on Grandby Street, Portsmouth. Mr Skerrit says he has mandated for construction on the administrative building to begin in the first quarter of 2022.
Government is also proposing a bypass in Borough Square to alleviate traffic congestion.
Additional development on the cards for the town of Portsmouth will include a new police station and enhanced sports facilities.
