Whitney Melinard receives positive response from a major telecommunications company after viral post
Law Major at the Lead Institute Whitney Melinard says a major telecommunications company here has responded positively to her concerns over the lack of internet service in the Kalinago Territory.
In a video posted to Facebook this week Melinard lamented that since the passage of Hurricane Maria, service in the territory and other eastern communities had not been restored.
She said the problem is particularly acute now that students are doing their studies from home.
Melinard also sought to clarify her statement that the matter may be an example of what she called systematic racism against the Kalinago people.
