We are officially into the 2020 Hurricane Season!

We are day two into the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season and expectations are high for an above normal season.

Despite the official June 1 start date there have already been two named storms.

The higher than average number of storms predicted can be attributed to several factors including warmer ocean temperatures and weak La Niña conditions.

Meanwhile speaking on Kairi’s new programme Hurricane ABCs on Monday Night Disaster Preparedness Officer Viola Pascal advised citizens to remain alert during the season.
