WATA fest is back in the Wesley community this weekend after a two-year absence due to the covid 19 pandemic.
WATA fest is a tradition of the community where patrons can expect to enjoy the various flavors of wata cuisine from ‘goat wata’ to ‘back building wata’.
WATA fest committee Member Charles Grant says this year festival will begin with an awards ceremony on November 2 to recognize 21 individuals from the community for their contributions in their various fields.
He added, the festival will also promote the local cocoy language spoken primarily in the villages of Wesley and Marigot.
