President of the United Workers Party Senator Isaac Baptiste has said his party would not do away with Government’s Housing Programme.
Rather, he says the party would seek to implement a fairer programme based on individual family need.
Since the passage of Hurricane Maria Government has commenced several housing developments, and recently handed keys to displaced Petite Savanne families to units in Bellevue Chopin.
Senator Baptiste told a press conference this week, housing under a UWP administration would cater for individual family needs and allow for expansion.
He said the UWP disagreed with the high-rise, apartment styled approach to housing in Dominica.
