UWI Retains Successful Results After Hurricane Maria & Campus Looting.

The University of the West Indies Open Campus suffered XCD$800 000 in damages post Hurricane Maria. 

That was according to the Director of Open Campus Country Sites of the University of the West Indies Dr. Francis Severin. 

Severin was speaking at the recognition of graduates ceremony at the Truth and Grace Fellowship Global Church on Thursday.

Dr. Severin said that over 200 students are currently enrolled in online programmes this semester. 

Dr. Severin expressed his disappointment in the fact that individuals looted and vandalized the campus following the Hurricane.

Meantime, Dr. Severin has called for a united approach in dealing with the effects of natural disasters.

52 individuals were recognized at the graduation ceremony on Thursday.
