Over US$ 500 000 worth of equipment has been donated to the Ministry of Agriculture TODAY, Friday by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.
The donation was made at the Division of Agriculture in the Botanic Gardens.
Minister for Agriculture Johnson Drigo said that in the past FAO has provided tremendous support to the ministry following a natural disaster.
Meantime, Representative from the Food and Agriculture Organization Leonor Fernandez said that over
US$700 000 has been mobilized for emergency response in the Ministry of Agriculture.
She said that FAO is committed to providing support to Dominica’s agriculture sector.
