Weather conditions are expected to deteriorate today as a tropical wave affects the island to be followed by a second wave of Saharan dust by Friday.
The Met Office said on Wednesday a tropical wave is expected to generate an increase in showers and possible thunderstorm activity across most of the island chain throughout the day.
Additionally, an increase in wind speeds is also expected across the area from Thursday night.
Dust haze is projected to linger across the Lesser Antilles into the weekend with an increase in concentration from Friday.
Large clouds of dust from the Sahara frequently blow across the Atlantic during the summer months driven by the prevailing easterly winds, suppressing hurricane formation on their journey toward the Caribbean.
