It has been reported that Dominica has excelled at this year’s Regional Examination for Nurse Registration (RENR) boasting an eighty percent (80%) pass rate.
This surpasses the regional rate of seventy-three-point seven percent (73.7%).
According to a statement from the Dominica Nurses Association, twenty (20) of the twenty-five (25) candidates from Dominica who sat the exam were successful.
The top performer for Dominica was Micarla St Rose with an eighty-three percent (83%) pass mark.
For the First time ever, candidates from two separate institutions sat the exam. Nine (9) from the Faculty of Sciences at the Dominica State College and nine (9) from the Department of Nursing at the All Saints University School of Medicine.
Additionally, there were 7 other candidates who were trained overseas.
This also marks the very first cohort from the Department of Nursing at the All Saints University School of Medicine.
