The Government of Dominica Signs Contract with Geneva Centre Home Repair & Development Project
The Government of Dominica will officially sign a contract TODAY, Friday for the Geneva Centre, Home Repair and Development Project.
According to the Press Release from the Government Information Service in Government’s continued thrust to address the need for safe and resilient housing for families directly affected by the passage of Hurricane Maria, the Ministry of Housing and Lands in collaboration with the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is funding the construction of new housing initiative and the rehabilitation of the Petro Casas at Centre Grand Bay.
As such, the Official Contract Signing Ceremony for the Geneva (Centre) Home Repair and Development Project will be held on the Geneva Basketball Court. Eleven (11) contractors from the community will sign contracts totaling some EC$16 million to facilitate the construction process.
The Government of Dominica is very grateful for the support and cooperation of the residents who will benefit from these projects as well the Government and people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
