The Dominica Nurses Association earlier today staged a small, peaceful protest action at the Government Headquarters to register their concerns about longstanding issues within the healthcare system.
Speaking to Kairi News on Monday morning, President of the Dominica Nurses Association, Rosie Felix says the association has voiced the nurses’ concerns for many years.
The protests from the nurses include working conditions such as security on the job, termites and mold infestation, workplace bullying and victimization, among other concerns.
Felix says further there remains quite a few of the health centers across the island in poor conditions more than a year since the passage of hurricane Maria.
