Dominica’s students show significant problems with reading, writing and comprehension.
That was the report of education professionals this morning, who are part of an ongoing island-wide Professional Development Training for teachers here.
The three-day sessions will end on Friday, and today’s sessions focused on Reading and Writing.
Kairi News spoke to St. Mary’s Primary teacher Angela Augustine- Pollock, who was a facilitator at the Roseau Primary School. She expressed hope that the training would improve students’ ability to express through writing.
