Teachers Experience Challenges, As They Continue To Administer Online Instruction To Students, Says President Of DTA
President of the Dominica Association of Teachers Mervin Alexander says teachers are experiencing challenges, as they continue to administer online instruction to students.
Alexander says he has received several complaints from his membership about their resource inadequacies.
Alexander says he has already made a case with the education authorities on the matter, citing that the Education Act makes allowances for teachers to be provided with the necessary resources.

Kairi News sought comment from the education minister Octavia Alfred recently who confirmed that she has spoken to the DAT on the matter. She says her ministry has made available the tools to accommodate teachers for use at schools, in light of the pandemic-related changes. Alfred added that there is nowhere that says her ministry must provide teachers with personal devices to work.
