Reigning Stardom Calypso Monarch, Tasha “Tasha P” Peltier is the new 2022 calypso monarch. She emerged the winner over 13 other calypsonians on Saturday night at the Evergreen with her song titled ‘Frenemy Remedy’ taking the crown from the 2021 Monarch ‘de Bobb’
The new monarch spoke to Kairi FM immediately following her win.
Peltier says at present, the art form is open to all, therefore everyone should embrace the opportunities available through calypso to push themselves forward.
