St. Lucia Distillers is once again demonstrating its support in the fight against Covid-19, this time by providing critically needed equipment for testing oxygen levels.
The Minister for Health Moses Jn Baptiste has been presented with over 680 oximeters and 11 cases of hydro alcoholic gel.

A request for support came from Joanna Salton St. Lucia’s Consul General in Martinique, where the parent company for St. Lucia Distillers is based.
The response was positive and on November 10th, 2021, a presentation took place at the Ministry of Health, with the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sharon Belmar describing the presentation of finger pulse oximeters as timely and critical for persons in-home care.
The gift of 686 finger pulse oximeters was made possible through a collaborative effort of the private sector and well-meaning individuals. Health Minister Moses Jn Baptiste provided the details.
These small, portable Finger Pulse Oximeters provide a quick and precise way to check pulse rates and blood oxygen saturation levels.
The Health Minister said this is a critical tool in the fight against Covid-19.
Making the presentation to the Minister was the General Manager of St. Lucia Distillers Loic Leger. The gift also included 11 cases of hydro alcoholic gel used for hand disinfection.
The Chief Executive Officer for St. Lucia Distillers Margaret Monplaisir pledged continued support in the fight against Covid-19. Last year the company donated 100,000 face masks to the Ministry of Health.
