32 families are now the owners of spanking new housing units at Hillsborough Gardens near St. Joseph, built under Government’s Citizenship by Investment Programme.
Parliamentary Representative for the St. Joseph Constituency Kelver Darroux says the housing units is part of a master plan of development for St. Joseph, while Prime Minister Skerrit told the handing over ceremony Government has plans to construct more homes while transforming the communities of St. Joseph, Layou and Mero.
Government aims to make these areas more modern and, according to the Prime Minister, intends “to build about 100 homes there in Hillsborough Gardens”.
Mr. Skerrit also added that as Government moves persons from the communities of St. Joseph, Layou and Mero, its intention “is to redevelop these existing communities into what we’re doing in Hillsborough Gardens”.
The Prime Minister’s ultimate aim is to make these coastal communities “aesthetically more appealing” and inviting for commercial investors.
