Soufriere Constituency Housing Repairs Remains Firm on The Government Focus
Parliamentary Representative for the Soufriere Constituency Denise Charles says although Hurricane Maria has created a setback for her constituency by a few months, her main focus and that of the government will be on housing construction and roof repairs ahead of the 2018 hurricane season
She told kairi’s Heng on Tuesday morning that most of the funding allocated toward other projects in her constituency had to be relocated toward housing and roof renovation projects in that area.
Miss Charles says water and electricity will fully become a reality for the people for the Soufriere constituency soon.
That constituency was severely hit by Hurricane Maria leaving many families still without electricity water and telecommunications service several months later.
Some residents continue to complain that among their various needs, water is the most critical?
Miss Charles has since thanked her constituents for the level of patience they have exhibited toward the situation and has promised that water and electricity will be fully restored.
