Chief Cultural Officer Raymond Lawrence said that six students of the Dominica State College have been recipients of the Marcel Djamala Fontaine Scholarship.
He said the scholarship started off ten years ago by the Konmite PouEtid Kweyol. The current scholarship recipient is Aniel Pacqueette of Grand Bay.
Lawrence made these remarks at the launch of the Creole Research Project at the Old Mill last week.
Meantime, Lawrence said that the World Creole Music Festival has assisted in taking the Creole culture to an international level.
