The issue of salary negotiations will top the agenda of a Dominica Public Service Union rally planned for Thursday.
General Secretary of the Dominica Public Service Union Thomas Letang says Thursday’s gathering is a follow up to an April meeting held to address outstanding matters.
“Nothing much has changed and we feel that we need to have a follow up rally to inform our members where we are and to also let the public know what the current situation is.
At that meeting we will give the briefing of the executive position as far as the matter is concerned and what recommendations will have as to the way forward,” Letang said.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, the Minister for the Public Service, has previously reiterated his Government’s commitment to public officers pointing to several measures over the past 19 years to improve working conditions.
Kairi News will continue to monitor the continuing impasse between the workers’ representative and Government.
