Dominica has recorded two new cases of COVID-19. This brings the number of confirmed cases to 24. National Epidemiologist Dr. Shalludin Ahmed provided the update at a Ministry of Health press briefing on Tuesday.
Police on Monday launched an investigation into a suspected suicide in Marigot. The male individual allegedly ingested a poisonous substance over the weekend and died on Monday. Police have not released the identity of the young man, said to be in his twenties but are continuing their investigations.
Breaking over night, police confirmed that one man of Scottshead was shot to death. Information is sketchy, but local media reports say the man was shot in a drive-by, with the alleged assailant or assailants speeding away after shooting at the victim several times.
