General Secretary of the Dominica Public Service Union Thomas Letang says the union will go ahead with efforts to have its demands met, despite a response received from Government’s negotiating team.
One day after a rally of public servants held last week, the DPSU received a letter from Government responding to its concerns.
The union is demanding that Government addresses issues relating to remuneration, appointments and other non-salary matter.
Thomas Letang says the union is not ruling out continued protest action.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, the Minister for the Public Service, last week reiterated his government’s commitment to public officers saying he was open to discuss their various grievances with a view to finding solutions.
Mr. Skerrit said he also planned to meet with all public officers in the coming weeks.
