Processing Applications For E-Passports Begin On Monday
The Ministry of National Security through the Immigration department will begin processing applications for the new E-passport for Dominicans from Monday. According to a release registration will take place in select communities at local police stations.
This, as Government recently announced an amendment to the e-passport transitioning period as the island embraces a digital future.
Applicants should note, 2 passport sized photos, original copies of your birth certificate, original copies of Marriage Certificates, Certificates of Naturalization, Adoption Certificates, and Birth Certificate of a parent where the circumstances warrant must be submitted along with the application forms,
The fees for passports remain $150 for adults and $75 for children.
