He is expected to participate in high-level discussions with President of the Republic of Cuba His Excellency Miguel Dias-Canel Bermudez, and other government ministers. The delegation is scheduled to make appearances at the Latin American School of Medicine, the Fidel Castro Center, the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology; and meet with Dominicans studying in Cuba.

Prime Minister Skerrit expresses Dominica’s solidarity with the republic of Cuba in their quest to lift the United States embargo against Cuba which prevents American businesses, and businesses organized under U.S. law or majority-owned by American citizens, from conducting trade with Cuban interests.
