Prime Minister Skerrit Hopes To See Agriculture Contribute 700 Million To Economy By The Year 2030
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has high hopes for the Agriculture Industry with plans to see the sector contributing seven hundred million dollars to the Dominican economy by the year 2030.
He says at present, agriculture contributes approximately two hundred and thirty million to the economy, however, he believes agriculture has made a much larger contribution than reflected in recent calculations.
Mr Skerrit says government’s plan is to build the agricultural sector to the point where it can make even larger contributions to the economy through the coordinated efforts of government and stakeholders.
