Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit will present his package of financial measures for economic growth to the parliament on July 28.
The July 28 budget address holds extreme significance for Dominica as it is expected to set forth policies and plans for achieving growth within the context of the impact of COVID-19 on economies worldwide.
The Prime Minister, who is the finance minister, is also expected to speak on his government’s response to the pandemic and investments made in health, infrastructural development, agriculture, social services and other areas of development.
Fiscal measures and revenue generation initiatives, as well as appropriations for the various ministries are also expected to feature in the 2020 budget.
