Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit – Patience & Cooperation needed with The Government’s Rebuilding Efforts
Dominica’s Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Roosevelt Skerrit has called for the cooperation of the people of Morne Jeaune, Riviere Cyrique and Grandfond in government’s attempts to build that constituency a resilient manner.
Minister Skerrit has pledged his government’s commitment to the people of Grandfond Constituency that they will receive the houses promised to them by the DLP administration.
The Prime Minister says working together is the first prerequisite for success and that he is very pleased that the people of the South East are the first to benefit from this new housing initiative.
Government will build 20 homes in Riviere Cyrique alone apart and several others in surrounding communities.
Mister Skerrit announced that over 100 million EC Dollars will be spent to construct new homes in the south east with funded from the Caribbean Development bank
He told the residents Friday they should not lose sight of Government plans to provide them with housing 6 months after a major hurricane, something that is unheard of by previous administrations.
Mister Skerrit says the British Government has played a key role in the assisting Dominica post hurricane Maria and this is noteworthy.
