Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit makes appeal for more Dominicans to take the COVID-19 vaccine
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has stressed the importance of taking the COVID-19 vaccine as the window closes on taking the first AstraZeneca jab here.
Dominica last month received 70 000 doses of the vaccine from India and has been administering the first jab to citizens. The Sino-pharm vaccine from China is also available to citizens.
Speaking on Annou Palé on Sunday, Prime Minister Skerrit made an appeal for citizens to get vaccinated as part of the national effort to overcome COVID-19.
Mr. Skerrit said a return of cruise tourism will have a direct beneficial impact on the economy.
