Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit Expresses Gratitude to Dominica’s Supporters
Dominica’s Prime minister and Minister of Finance and Agriculture Roosevelt Skerrit has applauded the efforts of the world bank and regional and international investors, and the local private sector for placing a high level of confidence in the government of Dominica.
International donors have pledged huge sums of financial and other support to Dominica to help the country build back better following hurricane Maria.
The latest international organisation to have assisted the country with its rebuilding efforts is the World Bank which signed an agreement with government for $US65 million dollars toward agriculture and infrastructural development.
With respect to the treasury bills Mr. Skerrit says his government has not only provided investors with the prospectus of the state of economy in Dominica but has published all governments’ economic and fiscal indicators for scrutiny.
He told a World Bank team of experts that every page of every book of the government is opened for public scrutiny at any time.
