Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit is anticipating much from Dominica’s recently appointed youth Parliament.
Speaking at a preparatory session on Saturday, March 12, 2022 for thirty-one youth leaders who will participate in the National Youth Parliament later this month, the Prime Minister expressed his hope for the youth parliament to inspire a new generation of Politicians.
He remarked, modern governance requires better trained and informed political leaders capable of navigating modern challenges.
Prime Minister Skerrit told participants; the youth parliament will expose them to significant national policy to broaden their understanding of the development path being pursued by government.
He added, the youth parliament may be seen as a participatory mechanism to strengthen democracy on the island.

The National Youth Parliament, organized by the National Youth Council of Dominica, is slated for March 23-24, 2022 at the Dominica House of Assembly.
