Prime Minister defends construction of International Airport in Wesley…Wesley MP slams new development group as UWP propaganda arm

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has defended a decision to construct an international airport in Wesley.

Government is in the process of acquiring property in the Wesley area and has already made payments to several land and crop owners.

Amidst opposition concerns about the displacement of Wesley residents, Prime Minister Skerrit says based on professional advice, the site is the safest option for the airport construction.

Mr. Skerrit says Government has received support and understanding from the landowners in the Wesley area.
