President Of PAYS Says He Will Not Back Down Amidst Setbacks To Yachties Week
President of the Portsmouth Association of Yacht Services (PAYS) Andrew Cobra Obrien says although PAYS wanted to commence activities marking Yachting week 2022, they were faced with some setbacks for the opening on the weekend.
Activities were scheduled for Sunday under the theme:‘Yachties are safer in nature. It’s our business!’ This theme is aligned with the Discover Dominica Authority’s objective of promoting a safe travel experience on the Nature Island.
According to President of the Portsmouth Association of Yacht Services (PAYS), Andrew ‘Cobra’ O’Brien, the opening ceremony of Yachties Appreciation Week, carded for Sunday, was rescheduled due to their application failing to gain approval by authorities.
O’Brien went on to say Yachties Appreciation Week has been one of Dominica’s most highly marketed events, and despite setbacks all approved events will continue as planned.
