Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne says discussions are underway to effect a formal agreement between Dominica and Antigua to promote relations between the two countries.
Browne told State Radio, DBS over the weekend that there is great potential for cooperation between the two countries, saying “Roosevelt and I have worked very closely, and one of the things that we have discussed before was to put a cooperation agreement together, a formal agreement between Antigua and Barbuda and Dominica”.
He said the two countries are historically linked, stating his belief that Antigua and Barbuda and Dominica are the closest two countries in CARICOM. Browne also said Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit as an ally in the fight to keep Caribbean Airline LIAT alive.
