Political Parties Express Concern Over Chief Of Police’s Statement.

The Dominica Freedom Party, the Dominica United Workers Party (UWP), and the National Joint Action Movement has expressed concerns over a statement from Dominica’s Chief of Police, Daniel Carbon’ in which he cautioned against hosting any walk or protest action in the city without permission from the chief of Police.

According to a release, The Grouping considers this statement to be threatening and aimed at restricting Dominicans’ freedom and independence to move freely and lawfully across the nation without excessive intervention from Law Enforcement.

The grouping urges the Police Chief to refrain from making what they view as prejudiced, provocative, discriminatory, and politically biased remarks which are entirely opposed to the Rule of Law, good governance, stability, and peace.
