Police have begun investigations into a shooting incident reported in Mahaut on Friday Morning.
According to Acting superintendent of Police responsible for the southern division Leana Edwards one man of canefield is currently at The Dominica China Friendship Hospital in a serious but stable condition after suffering two gunshot wounds to his back.
She says the incident followed an argument with a young man who then proceeded to rob him of five gold chains valued at thirty thousand dollars.
Police are soliciting the aid of the public in this investigation.
