Police Clarify Statutory Rules And Order Guiding Social Gatherings
Assistant Commissioner of Police Davidson Valerie has clarified the Statutory Rules and Order guiding social gatherings ahead of the Christmas Holidays.
Valerie said earlier this week in an interview with the media that people should not hold social gatherings, including house parties to encourage a situation that could lead to a spread of the coronavirus. However, some members of the public felt that the police could not stop them from hosting gatherings at their private homes. Valerie has sought to clarify the interpretation of the law.
The assistant commissioner of police cites the specific law of SRO 26 of 2021.
