PM Skerrit highlights measures by financial institutions to ease economic burden from COVID19
Prime Minister of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit on Thursday highlighted measures already in place at financial institutions to ease the economic burden associated with COVID-19.
Speaking on Kairi’s Heng, the Prime Minister said Government has held talks with the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank which has reduced lending rates to financial institutions.
According to the Prime Minister, institutions here will in turn be able to lend at significantly reduced interest rates.
According to Skerrit, the ECCB Governor will also motivate financial institutions to provide clients with special considerations.
He says the Government has held talks with other world financial institutions in order to ensure Dominica benefits in its fight against COVID-19.
