PM Denies Opposition’s CBI Allegations

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has categorically denied charges levelled against his government of mismanagement of CBI funds.
The Prime Minister addressed the issue of Kairi’s Heng programme this morning, days after Opposition Leader Lennox Linton told parliament that it appeared that over 1 billion dollars was accounted for under the CBI programme.
“This allegation of over 1 billion dollars missing, is untrue, this is a blatant lie, and this is not the case in the Commonwealth of Dominica,” the Prime Minister said. “This Government has had a sterling record of being able to account to the people of Dominica its funds, and we can show and we can point to you how we have spent our resources”.
