Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has once again defended the integrity of Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment Programme.
Addressing a rally to endorse the candidacy of Mahaut MP Rayburn Blackmoore on Thursday, Mr. Skerrit repeated charges that the UWP was attempting to undermine the programme. Mr. Skerrit said several programmes here are funded under the CBI, which has been “… the saviour of all of us in Dominica after the Hurricane [Maria]”.
The Prime Minister believes that the Opposition’s “attack” on the CBI “is an attack on every single Dominican in our country because every one of us stands to lose if the CBI were to go away”.
Meantime, Parliamentary Representative for the Mahaut Constituency Rayburn Blackmoore told the rally Government is focusing on housing development in the area.
He announced to the rally that by April 2020, “over 100 persons from Mahaut constituency will move into new resilient homes”.
Blackmoore also says a resettlement project is in the works for Campbell.
