Office of Disaster Management urges citizens to step preparations as system approaches

The Met Office here says an active tropical wave located in the Central Tropical Atlantic has a high chance of development and is projected to approach the area late Wednesday into Thursday.
This wave is expected to become a tropical depression or tropical storm within the next two to three days.
National Disaster Coordinator Fitzroy Pascal has urged citizens to step up preparedness as the system approaches the islands.
Pascal told Anou Palay with Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit on Sunday, it is important to develop plans in preparation for disaster events.
Pascal said the ODM is at an advanced stage of shelter preparations.
