Non Communicable Diseases are Responsible for most of the Deaths in Dominica
Former director of primary health care and Health liaison officer within the ministry of health Dr Martin Christmas says Dominica is not exception to the international statistics where chronic non communicable diseases are concerned.
He was speaking on the official launched a campaign by the ministry of health Tuesday April 3rd aimed at reducing the level of chronic non-communicable diseases on the island
Dr Christmas says non communicable diseases are responsible for most of the deaths in Dominica however these factors can be managed and in most cases by individuals.
Dr Christmas says persons must understand that they are at risk and should take the necessary measures to deal with those issues.
