Newly Commissioned Regional Emergency Shelters Increase Shelter Capacity On The Island
Local government commissioner Glenroy Toussaint says, the two newly commissioned regional emergency shelters have increased shelter capacity on the island.
According to Toussaint, a recent survey has indicated over three thousand persons may need shelter during the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season however, there is more than enough space to safeguard those in need.
Toussaint has noted, these facilities are expected to ease the burden on conventional shelters such as schools, to allow for schools to continue their tasks with little to no disruption.
