The Dominica Meteorological Office has introduced a color coded system to reflect different levels of emergencies.
Addressing the NEPO meeting on Wednesday, Senior Met Officer Marshall Alexander advised citizens to pay attention to credible information from the Met Office during emergencies.
“We… have a colour coded system… which reflects the hazard,” he explained. “So we have green, which would mean that no severe weather is expected. We have yellow which means that you should be aware. We have amber or orange, which means be prepared, and we have red which means take action.”
