KAIRI NEWS – President of the National Youth Council, Paul Baron, reveals that the council has embarked on a number of district youth outreaches and consultations as a form of standing in unity with the youth of Dominica and assisting in building a better Dominica.
Baron explained that the village youth councils all over the island will form part of this initiative to better understand the youth and the areas they need assistance.
Baron confirmed that the initiative will begin today, Monday 18th March 2019 in the north, where engagements with the various village youth councils will be held to inform them of the consultations and outreach programs expected to commence.
“The youth council have found that the public and private sector cannot really absorb everyone so young persons must now resort to become entrepreneurs and small business owners to generate income not just for themselves but for other persons,” he said.
He went on to say the National Youth Council’s and the Ministry of Youth main goal is to understand and find out the areas in which they need help.
Baron urged the youth to come to the council or their local village youth divisions with their concerns and also to seek help as this was the reason the council was established.
