Ministry Of Trade Regulates Fuel Prices Amidst Global Trends
As fuel prices across the globe continue on an upward trend the Ministry of trade and commerce has regulated announced the latest retail prices for petroleum products in Dominica
In effort to reduce the cost of these products Government decided to subsidize the cost of petroleum to reduce the impact on residents and avert a possible slow-down in economic growth prospects.
Director of trade, Mathan Walter says government interventions has caused these prices to fall at a lower cost than average.
Walter has reminded the public, that Dominica, much like other islands in the region, have little control over the prices of fuel.
As such, he is urging the public to manage their lifestyles wisely in order to adapt to the new realities of the changing world.
According to the director of trade, the retail cost of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has also dropped as world prices drop as a result of oncoming summer temperatures.
