Ministry Of Education Welcomes Delay For CXC Exams
The Ministry of Education welcomes the Caribbean Examination Council’s (CXC) decision to delay regional exams by three weeks. The exam period will now begin on Monday, May 23, 2022.
Minister for education Octavia Alfred says while her ministry had been working toward the original May 2 start date, she believes these three additional weeks could be the determining factor for some students to receive even better results.
Minister Alfred encourages students and educators to utilize the additional time to further strengthen any weaknesses before the exam dates.
The education minister went on to note the ministry’s commitment to assisting schools in their preparations for the upcoming exams.
