The Ministry of Education has made the decision to postpone the re-opening of school for the start of 2021-2022 academic year.
Education Minister, Octavia Alfred made the announcement in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
She says the Ministry has been working tirelessly to outline a plan of action to get the school year underway while keeping students and faculty safe.
Alfred outlined the decisions taken by the Ministry of Education.
She adds that the ministry is still in the process of finalizing the model of instruction for the new school year.
Alfred also urges teachers to get vaccinated as currently only 37% of teachers have taken the vaccine.
