Marigot MP Advocates For Greater Aid For Agriculture In Marigot
Parliamentary representative for the Marigot Constituency Anthony Charles is advocating for greater use of the Fisheries complex in marigot as a point of entry in order to meet the island’s demands for food.
Speaking during his first parliamentary presentation last week, Charles says, by utilizing the complex as a port of entry this will not only boost trade with neighboring islands but also create two-way tourism exchange
He urged the government ministers of Kalinago upliftment, tourism and public works to come on board to facilitate the operation of the complex as a port of entry.
Charles also advocates for additional help for the marigot farmers in order to contribute to Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit’s ambitious goal of the agricultural sector contributing 700 million dollars to Dominica’s economy by 2030.
