Manufacturers Accessing New Markets Amid COVID-19 Challenges
Dominica manufacturers are entering a new French market with about $60,000 worth of products.
This is the first shipment to Martinique organised by the Dominica Manufacturers Association.
John Robin says his company – Benjo’s Sea Moss has been exporting to Martinique for six years. Under his watch as president of the manufacturers’ association, he has helped broaden the scope for other local products to be exported there.
The plan is to expand access to not only the French West Indies, but France and Canada. Robin says going forward 15 manufacturing companies will have their products in those markets.
